Emma holds a BA (Honours) Degree in Hotel and Catering Management. Upon completing her degree, she progressed through a successful and varied career in food and hospitality, managing restaurants in the Food Halls at Harrods, Food Merchandising at Marks and Spencer and as an Hotel and Restaurant Inspector for the AA. 

Her successful career revolved around the pursuit of food quality and Emma decided to take this further and create something of quality on her own: her cakes.  She looks to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction in a stylish, beautiful and delicious way.

She studied cake decorating for 3 years and started The Cake House in 2009 based in Dorking, Surrey.

Emma is a member of the British Sugar Craft Guild, has public liability insurance and holds Food Hygiene Certificates. The Cake House has been inspected by, and is registered with, Surrey County Council for food safety.
